Pour Boy Coffee started as a small cart on the boardwalk in Pacific Beach, California. The founder is Felix Baguchinsky. The name "Pour Boy" refers to the fact that cart was exclusively a pour over bar, and Felix was the "Boy." And so...Pour Boy. The goal was to serve the best coffee available to the people of the community. Mission accomplished.
Felix was originally from New Jersey and came to San Diego to chase the sun. He worked for years as a lifeguard, EMT, and in all disciplines of the food service industry. He found the love of his life and the motivation to do what he had dreamed of. As a coffee lover and someone addicted to spreading the love of it, he decided to open a cart amidst the pandemic of 2020. The community embraced the cart and the response was incredible. Eventually, the cart became a full service pour over bar.
Now, Felix and Pour Coffee Company are working hard to connect with others and source the best coffee you can get your hands on. We work with local roasters in San Diego and have developed relationships with those involved with direct trade from farmers around the world. Pour Boy Coffee Co. is determined to bring you the best beans available.
Pour Boy Coffee also recognizes the fact that coffee and poverty seem to go hand in hand and gives back whenever possible to help coffee families in need. We also support sustainable and organic farming to help support our bodies and our planet. The higher prices of our coffee reflect the practices involved in producing the best quality beans. It also help to support coffee farming communities by helping give them the proper pay that they deserve.Â
Over the coarse of the year that Pour Boy Coffee came to live, we were able to give back already and intend to give back to the community much more in the future. We've run successful fundraisers for cancer research and marine conservation. We're proud to help support the Multiple Myeloma Foundation and Sea Shepard! We also took part in some community events! Pictured below is a beach clean up run by Pacific Surf School in Pacific Beach, CA. Pour Boy Coffee was happy to be a part of it!
